Cross-media assignment at the University.
The assignment was to find three datapoints and graphically visualize it. It had to be possible to translate it into a digital product.
You can try out the interactive website - disclaimer: Not really suitable for mobile screens =)
The data was gathered considering the “feeling” of weather. Only daytime values are included in the graph, as the nights are usually spent inside anyway.
The rain is measured in hours considering times from 7am to 9pm (14 hours). Since it doesn’t matter how much rain comes down, the amount of downfall is discarded. If it's wet, its wet. For a human perception anyway.
I gathered the data more or less manually, but the graph is done with Illustrators data tools. I then cleaned it up and did the design. All the datapoints are places exactly right on the chart. Making the responsive landing page was more difficult - Every datapoint has a svg line of code behind it with a hover effect. Hover unfortunately doesn't really work on mobile devices yet, therefore I also didn't focus on making the page responsive.
