Bluebloods is a fictional series about a royal family who tries to win back power and have the family rule again.
This was actually an excercise for the Uni. I enjoyed experimenting with shooting actual footage of flowing ink which was the bases for the sequence. Everything you see or hear is created from scratch.
Sped up 5 times, here is some original footage. These kind of experiments take all together quite some time. I'm sharing this to illustrate how much goes into making something like this. Looks simple enough, but actually takes quite some effort. Also I was the one who had to clean up the mess afterwards =D
You can also see a fair amount of color grading to keep the footage constant.
Another level of the experimentation is different materials. Depending on what ink or paper you use, the result will be different. I decided to use the blue, aquarelle based color as it had more texture in the ink. For more pure result, the dark red ink would be more suitable.
