Reinaru Vennad is an Estonian band (3 brothers) making uplifting music. As the first album design was very brigth, fun color splashes, this one is calmer, more subdued water-color. The music changed a bit in that direction also. They gave me quite a lot of freedom to create the design. With a few alterations we ended up with this clean, light design.
I usually ask the band I'm working with to share a few songs that appear on the album before I start working. It's important to me, that the design would give the listener a hint of what they might expect.
I had a bunch of pictures to choose from. For the booklet I often used ones that would fit to the lyrics on the page. Then photoshopped them to look like they were made of watercolor splashes.
